Hydrocarbon resistance (FO)

Objective

This test assesses the resistance of the sole material to the action of liquids by measuring material properties before and after immersion in a petroleum derivative.

Principle

The test consists in immersing a test specimen in an iso-octane solution, then measuring its volume, shrinkage and hardness before and after immersion.
