Our CSR approach

For more than 50 years, CTC has been supporting stakeholders in the leather goods, footwear, glove, and personal protective equipment (PPE) industries in reducing their environmental impacts and improving their social impact. Today, the ecological transition lies at the heart of its 2024–2027 strategy, addressing climate challenges and ensuring the long-term preservation of the sector’s resources.

Working alongside manufacturers, brands, and professional associations, CTC develops and implements more responsible solutions and initiatives to build a committed, innovative, and sustainable industry.

As part of this commitment, the Executive Committee has launched an ambitious Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach across the Group to structure our commitments, measure our progress, and strengthen our positive impact. First introduced in France and then rolled out across the Group, this initiative is fully aligned with CTC’s mission and core values.

In line with our Performance and Objectives Agreement, this commitment is built around four strategic pillars that are shaping the future of CTC and its entire ecosystem.

1 — ENSURING THE QUALITY OF OUR SERVICES

By listening to all our clients with the same level of attention, we provide tailored services that help demonstrate, through reliable data, the progress they achieve in terms of safety, performance, and environmental impact. We support them through innovation, information, and funding opportunities to accelerate their technical and economic development.

2 — IMPROVING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Our contribution to society is reflected in our daily actions and investments aimed at reducing our carbon footprint through realistic and measurable objectives. This commitment drives us to continuously improve our infrastructure and all the resources required to deliver our services, including the procurement of services and consumables, transportation, and energy use.

> To support this approach, we offer training programs and consulting solutions designed to help organizations advance their ecological transition.

> In 2025, CTC was awarded the gold medal for the pro-bike employer label.

3 — DEVELOPING OUR HUMAN CAPITAL

CTC is a company that embodies its values every day. We strive to be fair in our expectations, transparent in our actions, and open to dialogue. We are committed to enabling every employee to develop their expertise within an environment that is constantly evolving.

We implement concrete and appropriate measures to safeguard the health and safety of all employees, while fostering a constructive and positive social dialogue that supports the long-term sustainability of our company and serves the interests of the greatest number. We also work to ensure that diversity, in all its forms, is recognized as a strength and an opportunity for our collective success.

4 — MAINTAINING A STRONG REGIONAL PRESENCE

Our mission is to support all member companies without distinction. This commitment drives us to maintain a strong presence across regions and to develop both collective and individual projects that keep us closely connected with all our members and clients, regardless of their size or location.

We organize initiatives that bring companies together and foster collaboration, while actively supporting structured regional programs that help engage and unite the widest possible range of businesses.

Committed to CSR certification: 2026 projections

Following several EcoVadis assessments in response to client requirements, CTC decided in 2025 to adopt the AFNOR Committed to CSR certification, recognized for its robustness and the credibility of its methodology based on the PDCA cycle (Plan – Do – Check – Act), as well as on-site company evaluation.

This choice serves a dual purpose:

  • External objective: to maintain an ambitious CSR framework that drives our approach forward, meets client expectations, and sets an example for the companies within our network.
  • Internal objective: to provide a unifying, meaningful project for our teams, strengthening cohesion, engagement, and CTC’s employer brand.

Through this demanding certification, CTC reaffirms its commitment to a credible, structured, and shared CSR approach. Our 2026 assessment led to the Committed to CSR – Progression level certification and helped identify three priority objectives to guide our action plan in the coming years:

  • Further develop the structuring and formalization of our CSR approach to improve consistency and relevance, and involve all teams in continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen data culture and enhance reporting practices.
  • Continue work on our carbon footprint assessment by integrating a broader environmental impact perspective (water use, pollution, biodiversity, etc.) across our activities.

These priorities confirm our commitment to continuous improvement in order to address the challenges of tomorrow facing the industry, while also preparing for the next assessment with the goal of achieving the next level of the Committed to CSR certification: confirmed.
