Governance and teams

 

Arnaud Haefelin is Chairman of CTC’s Board of Directors, which is responsible for strategy and for approving the budget and annual financial reports. The Board is made up of 13 members, appointed by order of the Minister of Industry. Françoise Nicolas has been Managing Director since January 2022.

The company relies on the expertise of 458 employees, including 256 based internationally in Italy and Asia. The multidisciplinary skills of the CTC teams play an important role in the company's results and the success of its assignments.

In France, CTC is organised around a General Secretariat (administrative and financial department) and six specific departments.

CTC’s General Secretariat steers the CTC Groupe’s financial and budgetary strategy. It ensures compliance with accounting and tax standards, coordinates all administrative functions and oversees the technical and general departments, IT and HR.

It also monitors the new challenges posed by digitalisation as well as the data security of the business processes linked to the company’s different departments.

Information and communications director

This department gathers reliable information and disseminates it to companies through our documentation centre, publications, books, and websites.

It has four areas of expertise: marketing, print and web design, monitoring and information, and member and client relationships.

It is responsible for CTC's brand strategy and support in communicating projects and disseminating relevant information to various institutional contacts, commercial partners, member companies, and CTC clients.

The training and know-how management department supports skills development for employees in the industry and the long-term maintenance of know-how, which is a key factor in the success of French companies.

CTC's training centre operates throughout the whole of France, in companies of all sizes. It provides workstation- or classroom-based training and offers customised programmes, as well as a comprehensive range of distance learning courses: fast learning, virtual classes, industry-specific tutorials, etc.

Development and international director

The key missions of the development and international department are to support companies in the evaluation and characterisation of their products; to ensure that our laboratories are available to meet their specifications, international regulations, and development projects; to act as an international relay; and to manage quality control directly in factories.

Pierre Beaupoil joined CTC in 1998 and was responsible for launching CTC's first Asian subsidiary in Hong Kong until 2003. He then oversaw the opening and development of CTC’s laboratories in Shanghai and Dongguan. On his return to France in 2010, he took up the position of deputy director of development. He is now managing director of CTC Ars Tinctoria, and head of inspection at CTC Groupe.

Certification and PPE standardization director
 

The technical standards and certification department supports the leather industry in the business sectors concerned by legislation.

Thanks to its upstream work with the relevant authorities, the department can keep companies informed, enabling them to prepare for and anticipate changes, to feed back pragmatic market information and to support the positions proposed by the professional federations.

In parallel, new testing methods may be developed to allow for the application of these legislative changes..

The Leather, leathergoods, footwear, sustainable development managing department integrates the tannery, footwear, leather goods, fashion, and sustainable development departments.

It aims to strengthen expertise in trades within the industry, accelerating the recognition of sustainable development challenges, and preparing for the future by developing the skills of tomorrow.

The mission of the technological innovation department is to meet the industry's challenges in key areas such as:

  • traceability
  • factory of the future (robotics and cobotics)
  • ergonomics
  • improving working conditions
  • cutting-edge IT such as artificial intelligence

 

The CTC Ars Tinctoria team

The general management of CTC Ars Tinctoria is entrusted to Pierre Beaupoil. Gustavo Defeo is its Scientific Advisor. CTC Ars Tinctoria brings together twenty employees with a professional culture close to CTC's, and has a strong presence and recognised reputation on the Italian market.

Our teams in Asia

In Asia, CTC employs nearly 250 people whose skills are similar to those of CTC France and has a strong presence and recognised reputation in the Asian market.
