Information is at the heart of competitiveness and business performance. It stimulates technological innovation, which has become a major challenge for companies.
CTC has a unique documentation centre specialising in the scientific and technical aspects of leather, footwear, leather goods, and glove-making. It includes a collection of more than 5,000 books, which can be used to research models, designers, and footwear and leather goods brands. Statistics, market studies, standards, patents, and conference proceedings are also available, as well as the various resources published by CTC.
The documentation centre houses a leather library, a veritable showroom for the expertise of French tanners and leatherworkers. It contains about a hundred leathers, most of which are whole. A digital leather library completes the collection, providing information on the leather on display and leather in general. Each season, our designers exhibit a selection of materials based on fashion trends. This beautiful workspace not only allows visitors to discover the many properties of leather as a material, but it also showcases its infinite creative potential. Since 2022, a selection of emerging materials, all tested at CTC, has been added to this space.
The documentation centre is open to companies, students, trainees, and designers, by appointment.
Founded in 1977, the CTC training centre brings together more than 40 trade experts with the unique status of trainer-consultant-researcher. They work with companies of all sizes and offer customised programmes tailored to specific issues.
CTC is committed to meeting the training needs of the different sectors of the fashion, luxury goods, sports, distribution, personal protective equipment (PPE) and environment industries.
We work mainly with French companies in the leather, leather goods and footwear (city, sport, PPE) sectors, providing training on site or at our premises in Paris and Lyon.
CTC is also developing a range of distance learning courses including microlearning, virtual classes and professional tutorials.
Should you need bespoke training, such as a course in a foreign language, please do not hesitate to contact us with details. Our team will get back to you as soon as possible.
