Abrasion resistance
The top-pieces of women’s heeled shoes are parts subjected to heavy abrasion stresses. Their premature wear may adversely affect the function of the shoe. This test is used to check the durability of top pieces in terms of their abrasion resistance. This test is performed for top-pieces of surface area measuring less than a circle 16 mm in diameter. Top piece retention strength
