Resistance to cyclic stress under load

Objective

The purpose of this determination is to assess the quality of the product over time in terms of the grip parts (handles, straps, etc.). The weighted item is cyclically lifted and put down, to simulate its use.

Principle

The test consists of determining the strength of the grip parts, by means of a device generating cyclic lifting/put-down stresses. The number of cycles taken for major deterioration to appear is noted.
