Resistance to tensile strength and elongation

Objective

This test assesses the force required to break a specimen taken from upper, whatever the material and elongation.

Principle

The test consists of subjecting a dumbbell- shaped specimen to tensile force to breaking point. The test is performed on
a dynamometer at a rate of 100 mm/min.
The results correspond to the breaking strength expressed in N/mm, and to the breaking elongation expressed in %.
