Aging zips

Objective

This standard is used to evaluate the performance and durability of zip fasteners. 

Principle

This test verifies the zip fastener's ability to withstand the specified alternating opening and closing motions under horizontal and vertical stress. In these tests, the machine drives the zipper slider at a constant speed and reciprocates it. This enables the quality of the zipper to be assessed.
