Slip resistance

Objective

This test determines the resistance to slippage of a shoe sole on different floor coverings. The method applies to materials with soles, to high heels alone and to street shoes (from flip-flops, to sneakers, to shoes with heels).

Principle

The test consists of running a shoe on a lubricated or non-lubricated surface and determining a slip resistance coefficient. The mix surface/lubricant as well as the test position are determined according to customer specifications by our technical support team.
The result expressed is a dynamic adhesion coefficient.

Type: Physical and mechanical test
Standard: EN ISO 24267
