This test verifies protection against electrocution (moderate current) and limitation of electrostatic discharge.
The electrical resistance of footwear is measured under laboratory conditions (23°C and 50% humidity) after conditioning in dry and damp atmospheres. A current is applied and the electrical resistance is measured.
