Slip resistance

Objective

This test is used to determine the slip resistance of a shoe sole on a floor/lubricant combination.

Principle

The test consists of moving a shoe on a lubricated surface and determining a slip resistance coefficient. The surface/lubricant combinations are ceramic/detergent solution (similar to a domestic floor) and steel/glycerine (similar to an industrial floor). The result expressed is a dynamic grip coefficient.
