Toecaps corrosion resistance

Objective

There should be no more than 3 corrosion points on the metal toecaps, none of which should be more than 2 mm long.

Principle

The toecaps is placed in contact with a sodium chloride solution in accordance with EN ISO 22568-1 §5.5 for 7 days.
The number of corrosion zones and the greatest length of each zone are then recorded.
