Toe protection - Crush resistance

Objective

This test verifies the compression resistance of toe protectors.

Principle

The toe caps are positioned between the trays and compressed until a load of (15 ± 0.15) kN for safety shoes or (10 ± 0.1) kN for protective shoes is reached.After testing, the toe cap should be visually inspected to detect the presence of any cracks through which light can be seen.
