Dynamic compression test

Objective

The purpose of this determination is to check the resistance of luggage to stacking with other luggage (storage, aircraft hold, etc.). The test is primarily relevant for rigid luggage.

Principle

The test consists of compressing the luggage to be evaluated on its various sides, using defined forces. The weighted luggage is manually compressed by 3 kN, successively in the vertical direction (cane side on top), on the side and then in the horizontal direction (face up). Compression must not exceed a maximum crush of 60 mm. Any damage occurring during testing will be noted.
