Slicing resistance (test cut)

Objective

During use, the gloves may be subject to cutting constraints. The aim of this test is to check the performance level of the glove on this criterion.

Principle

The test consists in making a standardised cut with a circular blade. A cutting index is calculated by assessing the number of passes of the blade to cut the sample comprising all layers of the palm of the glove in comparison with a reference material. The result is a cutting index and a performance level.
