Water resistance of glove materials

 

Objective

This test permits to measure the resistance of glove material to water penetration. Time of penetration is used to determine the performances.

 

Principle

The test consists in determining resistance to penetration and water penetration through a material, by immerging a semi
circular test tube. The test tube is subjected to cylinder compressions to represent the constraints during use (pumping
effect).
The result corresponds to the time of penetration through the material in minutes and the level of performance according to the time of penetration.
