Among our facilities, our Living Lab stands out for its innovative approach by offering instrumented tests in real-world conditions. This analysis laboratory checks that a product’s characteristics meet the specifications set by manufacturers. Its high-tech equipment enables it to study the use of products in real-life conditions by measuring effort and movement in use, with tools such as motion-capture cameras, force plates or pressure mats.
For example, our experts can evaluate the user experience of wearing or carrying leather goods.
The data collected is then used by our method development teams to create innovative and automated tests.
Our robotic arm floor tests, for instance, measure the resistance of leather goods to everyday stresses and strains.
In addition to the Living Lab, we use advanced design tools such as 3D digitisation, CAD and 3D printing to develop new physical testing methods.
