The "CTC laboratory approved" programme is a label offered by CTC to guarantee the safety of factory laboratories in the footwear sector. It is a confidence tool to confirm the quality of production. It is underpinned by reliable measurements and controls, as well as effective management, to ensure optimal performance and continuous quality improvement.
This label is a mark of excellence, testifying to the know-how and commitment of the laboratories that have obtained it. It reflects their ability to maintain high standards and provide high-quality services and products.

The “CTC laboratory approved” program has two stages:
The first stage consists in assessing your laboratory based on the international standard ISO 17025.
This assessment may take 1 or 2 days, depending on the size of the laboratory and the number of tests to perform. It aims to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in your practices.
Thanks to CTC auditors’ expertise in testing and quality, the audited laboratories will benefit from concrete solutions to optimise their working methods.
If your laboratory obtains an assessment rating of 80% or more, it can move on to the second stage of the process.
During the second stage, the reliability of your laboratory’s results is verified through an interlaboratory comparison. Thanks to CTC’s expertise, the laboratory results are recorded and assessed using rigorous analyses and statistical criteria.
This approach involves a careful comparison of the results obtained on repeated samples. This comparison takes around eight weeks.
If the accuracy of the results exceeds 80%, the laboratory will then be approved by CTC.
The annual testing campaign, combined with the recommendations for improvements made by the CTC team of experts, will guarantee the reliability of your laboratory results.
